The Timberland Company Boot Review

                                                 The Timberland Company

First off, this review is a non-sponsored review about a company and product that I thought  I
would share with you. I am sure many of you out there have already became a fan of this company and its products.

The company's founder was Nathan Swartz. He bought out half of the company, Abington Shoe Company in 1952 and the remaining half in 1955. He moved the company from Abington Massachusetts to Stratham New Hampshire and the product name Timberland was coined in 1973, which eventually became the company name.  The company gained its fame for adhering the rubber sole of the boot to the leather without any stitching.

Timberland also sells a variety of  outdoor products, but its main line is footwear. You can visit their site, order online, locate a store near you at: http://www.timberland.com/ .

                                                               The review

The boots I have bought for this review are the Men's Timberland PRO TiTAN Lace-to-Toe boots.

The reason I chose this particular boot was for the desirable features it included. Now, I work in a steel product manufacturing plant so the number one feature was the safety toe feature. This really  came into play when a part fell off a roller and hit my boot. Yes, if it were not for that feature, I would have been in a world of hurt. The part didn't weigh over 30 lbs., but it was sharp and pointed.

The second feature it has is the slip-oil resistant outsole. As you have probably already guessed, working with metals does require various oils as well as the machines, themselves, use oil and leak oil. The floor at some of the presses becomes quit slick and this boot has helped me stay standing tall when my mind wasn't where it should have been.

The next feature is comfort. I am on my feet for long periods of time, usually more standing than walking. I know most of you have bought new boots and found them to be stiff and uncomfortable, especially if you needed the steel toe variety. These boots required next to no time in breaking them in. The leather is soft and conforms to your feet in no time. Don't get me wrong by saying soft that they are not durable. These boots go through a beating and are still going strong. The other part to comfort is the temperature. Most work boots will cause your feet to sweat. These boots actually control the temperature and sweating has not been a problem. Throughout the day my feet have stayed nice and comfortable. As a note, they also have an antimicrobial and odor protection built into the linings.

Another feature they have is electrical shock protection. Now, as this particular feature is not part of my usual workplace hazards, I thought I would mention it, but I really can't rate it on that.

These boots also have a 30 comfort guarantee. Now, to me that shows the company stands behind their products and care about their customers.

All in all, I have to say Timberland is a company that I recommend. I purchased my boots at a local boot store, but they also have an online store, good products and good customer support. Timberland has a big thumbs up from this reviewer!

The good, the bad, and the ugly. These are pictures of my work boots. As you can see, they go through a lot. You can see where the leather was cut by the falling part, but luckily it hit the toe guard. There is also several smaller cuts to the front, but none as deep as the one on top. These boots are three months old and I will be updating this post as time goes by.

    About this blog

As some of you have noticed, Danelle and I run an eBay and Bonanza business. She also does reviews for various companies, contests, etc. The link to her site is on the side of this blog. I thought it would be good to start a blog for the "guys" point of view. This blog will bring you, the viewer, together with products and/or services you may need or want. It will also link to various other blogs that I, the author, find on the up and up. Please feel free to visit these sites and what they have to offer!

With all that being said, I have written numerous reviews on many different products for many different companies. I have ALWAYS tested the products as well as tried to find other uses that they might hold. Product reviews are only the first step. I also rate how the product is shipped as well as company contact information. I do not compare products across various companies, as this would represent a conflict of interest. I only rate the product I receive for that review.

Any reviews posted on this site are from my own experience, use, and ideas for that particular product. Company descriptions of their product, etc., may also be included in the review, but are not the sole base of the review. Be assured, reviews are to introduce the consumer to a product and company, so I will be as thorough and unbiased as I can be.

If you are a company looking to get your product out there, or if you want online advertising at this site, feel free to email me at markeagleone@hotmail.com . Products endorsed by this site must be reviewed by me or Danelle (http://www.ourwolvesden.net/) in order for them to have my backing. Contests and giveaways are at the offering company's digression.

Links to other blogs for product reviews, giveaways, contests, etc., are not an endorsement of a particular product from this site. It is a "heads-up" to the readers of other blogs offers. This site will only endorse products reviewed here, or at http://www.ourwolvesden.net/ .

Honesty is always the best policy. I will walk the road from start to finish, as best as possible, that any consumer will do to purchase a product or service. All products and their companies, simple to extravagant, will get an honest and concise review.

All giveaways, prizes, and contests from this site or sponsor offered at this site are run by this site. Everyone entering has the same chance of winning. Contests open to everyone 18 or older. This site will not advertise or offer sexually explicit material. Family members and friends cannot enter, even though all contests have equal chances to everyone entering. This will control any thought of unfairness.
